"Home Is Where Your Heart Is"

I have to say that I truly enjoy all this rain we are getting. I hear people complain all the time about the rain but no one complain about the sun. Think about it this way, without the sun, air, AND rain we would not have the beautiful green trees, the breath taking flower or soft green grass. It takes all elements to create this beautiful world that God gave us as a gift and we need to rejoice in all that he gives. You need to have a positive out look on the rain just as we do the sunshine. The rain to me represents washing away my sins and God always give me rain when I need it. It is God's way of washing away all the sins on the earth. We are more thankful for the sunshine after a day of rain just as we are more thankful for a blessing the day after we feel we are not getting the blessings we are looking for.

God only gives us what we need and lately I have had to relearn this. I have been struggling with not being able to buy a house. Jealous of those who can, jealous of those who have houses and treat it with little respect. It frustrates me because I have been saving since before Aaron and I got married and took on a second 20 hour a week job to put more money into the "House Fund" and I feel we are getting nowhere.

Before we got married we were looking at houses to buy and were not finding anything I liked, later to find out that it was not our timing. Two months after Aaron and I got married I lost my job and was on a one income budget for 3-4 months until I found something else. Buy renting we were still able to follow our budget, pay for Aaron's classes and books, and still allowed us to save just a little bit.

God only gives us what we need..a roof over our head with the ones we love, the food on our table to survive and the rain to help wash away our sins and make us pure again. I am trying to remind myself that God has a house for me out there when the time is right and " Your Home Is Where Your Heart Is"

4. Observe the Sabbath by keeping it holy. "What is the Sabbath?"
5. Honor your father and mother. "Uh yea Malia and Sasha, honor me I am number one"
6. You shall not murder. "Killing babies is perfectly fine though"
7. You shall not commit adultery. "For my buddy Bill it is fine"
8. You shall not steal. "Uh like I said, we need to take from the people who work hard for their money and give it to those who don't"

Back to the beginning...

For those of you who do not know us very well I would love to give you a little background on who we are as an individual and how we have come to where and who we are today.

I was born and raised in Elkhart to wonderful Christian parents and a stunning and adoring sister, making me the oldest of two. I grew up in a Christian surrounding going to church- first Bethany Missionary Church in Elkhart than moving to Zion Missionary Church. in 4th grade. Attending Concord Community School 1-12, I never continued on with college. My dear is to be a stay at home mom with our 2-4 kids and one day when they are all in school work for Aaron's dads company as a secretary. I work at a Coffee House in Nappanee and South Bend called Main Street Coffee House and I have to say I really enjoy my job. Ok enough about me...

Aaron was born and raised in Nappanee with wonderful Christian parents as well. He is the oldest of four with two younger sisters and a younger brother. The oldest sister just recently got married January 2010. Aaron like I grew up in a Christian home attending a few churches in his life. His family first started out at Nappanee Missionary Church but only attended a few years when he was born, than they heading to Warsaw Missionary Church where his uncle was the Pastor. Than  they started attending Zion Missionary Church where his uncle later on became the Pastor and this is where we met. He attending Northwood High School PreK-12 and is now attending Indiana University of South Bend with a double major in Human Resource and Business Management. He hopes to graduate within the next 3 year, going part time has taking him awhile :) Aaron is a department manager at Martin Supermarket in Nappanee and has been there since high school.

Aaron and I met at church when we were both 5th and 6th grade, he was the cutest boy in class :) We than became great friends and within the past 7 years started dating. We dated off and on ( he had his moments lol ) and in February 2005 we started dating for the final time and have been growing strong since than. Aaron asked me to marry him on December 5th, 2008 than married a year later on December 5th, 2009.The wedding was beautiful, our colors were a gold/champagne and a deep rose red. My sister was the maid of honor while Aaron's younger brother was the best man. You always picture what your wedding day will look like but you can dream of the most beautiful thing and your wedding day will go above and beyond your dream.  Above is just one of the many pictures from the most wonderful day. We live in Elkhart right now renting and hope to one day soon buy our first home.

Aaron has truly been a blessing in my life and has been there for me through everything. He is my best friend and soul mate and I can say I love him more today than yesterday. We hope to use this blog to help keep in touch with family and friends who we do not need or get to talk to often. Please feel free to leave any comments you would like, we would love to hear from you.
